Malita Investments appoints former MEP Marlene Mizzi as new Chairperson

Former Member of European Parliament (MEP) Marlene Mizzi has been named Chairperson at Malita Investments plc, with effect from 22nd June 2022.

She succeeds Kenneth Farrugia, who left his role as Chairman and position on the Board of Directors after more than 11 years at the company.

In 2021, she was appointed Director at Malita Investments.

Ms Mizzi was formerly a Labour Party MEP, and has the honour of being Malta’s first female MEP. She served from 2013 until 2019. Additionally, she also occupied several senior positions for a number of companies, such as Chairman of Sea Malta Company Ltd, Flagstone Insurance Brokers, as well as Medfeeder Company Ltd. She also served on Bank of Valletts plc’s (BOV) Board of Directors.

She holds a bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Economics, along with a Master of Philosophy degree in Corporate Governance.
