€1500 donated to PUTTINU by the Malta Futsal team

The Malta Futsal Team joined the overwhelming generosity conveyed recently by the Maltese public in donating funds to Puttinu Cares Foundation.

A total of €1,500 was collected between players and staff of the Malta Futsal Team during their recent trip to Norway where they took part in the FIFA Futsal World Cup Qualifying group also notching their first-ever World Cup Qualifying point in a commendable 2-2 draw against Cyprus.

Futsal delegation at the Rainbow Ward at the Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre inside MDH hospital for this presentation was led by Head of Futsal matters within the Malta FA Mark Marlow, who was joined by Futsal National Team players, captain Mark Zammit who plays his trade for Luxol St. Andrews Futsal and Luca Gatt who this season is representing Valletta FC Futsal.

Marlow highlighted the fact that sport is not all about action, competing and promoting the game, “We need to be on the forefront and proactive in terms of our social responsibility duties by contributing directly to those in need and difficulties those around them are constantly enduring”.

For many years Puttinu Cares Foundation has been raising funds to help people who require treatment in the UK, as every month a substantial amount of individuals together with their families would need to make this unwanted trip to the UK to continue with their treatment and fight against cancer.
