Strong winds, gale force in places and rain caused havoc with the traditional Good Friday processions across Malta and Gozo.
Many church’s decided against risking precious statues and for the safety of worshippers, decided to hold a scaled down procession inside.
Bormla was one of the few towns where the Good Friday procession did go ahead, with organisers changing the normal route because of the wind and rain.
