Anglu Farrugia will remain as Speak of the House.
This was announced by Prime Minister Robert Abela following the swearing-in ceremony of two new Parliamentary Secretaries this morning.
Anġlu Farrugia assumed the role of Speaker in 2013 and was confirmed in the legislature that began in 2017.
He was instrumental in increasing the autonomy of the country’s highest institution and moved the Parliament building from the Palace to the entrance of the City.
This will be the third legislature in which Farrugia will be serving as Speaker of the House of Representatives.
