Robert Abela pledges €700 million in environment projects

Shortly after announcing that the General Election will bHe held on 26th March, Prime Minister Robert Abela promised that a Labour government will invest €700 million in green areas over a seven-year period if the Labour Party wins the upcoming election.

It will be one of the most ambitious environmental projects ever undertaken in Malta with the prime minister saying he wanted every town and village to have a green area.

First time home buyers also featured in the Labour manifesto with a pledge of €1,000 a year over a ten-year period to help them pay their home loans, equivalent to a total of €10,000.

Good news for business’s with corporate tax rate reduced for the first €52,000 from 35% to 25%.
