Hamrum and Birkirkara stay as they were, third and fourth, following an uninspiring goal-less draw at Ta’Qali.
In a game of few chances and little creativity, probably the best chance fell to Joseph Mbong whose effort went wide of the target with only the B’kara keeper to beat.
The draw means Hamrun stay seven points adrift of leaders Hibernians with Birkirkara a further two points below Spartans.
In Wednesday night’s other game, Sliema Wanderers picked up their first win of the season beating Balzan 1-0, Kurt Shaw getting the final touch.
It still leaves them rooted to the bottom of the table, four adrift of Sta Lucia.
