The annual charity fundraiser, L-Istrina, collected €5.8 million during the day-long television marathon.
Slightly down on last year’s total, the amount will go a long way in helping numerous charities.
President George Vella and his wife were unable to go to the fundraiser themselves as they are self-isolating but they did kick-off the marathon via a video link.
