Police solve two robberies that took place within 24 hours of each other

Intensive police investigations by the Major Crimes Department led to a person being arrested for allegedly carrying out two hold-ups between last Wednesday and Thursday.

On Friday morning, police received a report that in Qormi someone had just crashed a parked vehicle and stole some things from it. Officers went to the scene and a 38-year-old man was arrested.
Investigations revealed that the same person, on November 24, allegedly carried out a hold-up in a shop in Triq Santu Wistin, San Ġiljan and the following day, 25 November, allegedly carried out another hold-up in a shop in Triq it-Tin, Ħal
Qormi.

The man is being held in the Police lock-up at Headquarters, Floriana and is expected to appear in court today.
