Collaboration agreement signed between Housing Authority and University

Yesterday the Minister for Social Housing Roderick Galdes was present for the signing of the collaboration agreement on the study being carried out on the care plan for beneficiaries of social housing, an agreement that was signed inside one of the apartments l new social housing. This is one of the first Budget 2022 measures being implemented.

Minister Galdes said, “We will start implementing this budget from today. Today we gathered to sign an agreement consolidating the link between the Housing Authority and the Faculty for Strengthening Society. Together we will continue to use research, experience and knowledge to design a personalized policy. ”

As announced in recent days, the care plan will be implemented gradually and gradually and will be extended to all applicants and beneficiaries of housing, “explained Minister Roderick Galdes.

The study, which is being carried out in collaboration with the University and is being funded by the Housing Development Fund within the Housing Authority, has begun to prepare for housing applicants and beneficiaries of social housing to have a comprehensive plan that will benefit, attention, and services to address the key challenges that have led them to need. This Care Plan will help applicants improve their quality of life and standard of living and not simply provide them with alternative accommodation.

The signing of the collaboration agreement was signed by the Housing Authority and the University of Malta. On behalf of the Authority signed the Chairman Robert Ducker and the Chief Executive Leonid McKay, while for the University signed the Pro-Rector, Professor Tanya Sammut-Bonnici and the Dean of the Faculty for the Strengthening of -Society, Professor Andrew Azzopardi.
