The Malta National Under 17 squad has travelled to Trieste on Thursday to take part in the Trofeo Nereo Rocco in Trieste. The boys born in 2005/6, under the helm of Coach Ivan Woods will be playing in Group A and will face HNK Rijeka, Bologna and Udinese.
The boys and the staff are really looking forward to play football once again since they have missed out on a number of commitments due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Football for these ages has been forced to stop for a couple of months now and this competition is seen as a return to normality. The competition spans over 6 days and will give these youngsters the much needed match practice.
