Minister Ian Borg launches the third edition of the Malta Aviation Conference and Expo (MACE)

Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects Ian Borg launched the third edition of the Malta Aviation Conference and Expo (MACE), which will be held between the 26th and the 28th of October 2021. This year’s MACE theme is on re-boosting the industry, particularly following the turbulent COVID-19 period.

Minister Ian Borg said that, “These last two years, the aviation industry, an important pillar for our economy, has suffered unprecedented challenges because of the pandemic. However, it was still at the forefront, helping with repatriation and the delivery of essential products, and as a government we are fully committed to continue strengthening this industry – as seen in the last weeks with the arrival of the first Malta Air aircraft on our islands. This conference will redefine the concept of sustainability as it will also delve into how the industry can contribute towards the European Green Deal, which Malta is also a signatory of. Activities like MACE are an excellent opportunity to foster healthy dialogue, collaboration and the sharing of best practices in such an important sector and as a government, through Malta’s aviation regulator Transport Malta, we are proudly assisting this prestigious event as a main sponsor.”

Mr Joseph Bugeja, Chairman and CEO for Transport Malta said that, “It was a pleasure for the transport authority to demonstrate its continued support for MACE. Transport Malta strongly believed that MACE is the appropriate medium to promote and foster civil aviation in line with its vision for its flourishing and dynamic Civil Aviation Directorate.”

MACE founders, Jonathan Dalli and Stanley Bugeja, said that, “After a year of the pandemic’s impacts, the aviation industry is very excited and looking forward to come together again at MACE in Malta. Malta is one of the largest growing aviation jurisdictions in the EU and it also has the highest number of vaccinated people in the EU, so we are confident that MACE, for the third year in row, will be another successful event, also thanks to the support from Transport Malta.”

MACE is Malta’s Largest Aviation Conference, a networking event which targets both business-to-business and business-to-client interaction, but also attracts keynote speakers who are considered as authorities within the industry.

MACE was founded by DC Aviation Group, the Concept Stadium and Novargo.
