HSBC Malta Foundation renews support for Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti

The HSBC Malta Foundation has renewed its support for Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti (FPM), and its work to spread awareness of Malta’s heritage. The donation will support the non-profit organisation in producing publications, managing collections and projects, planning exhibitions, conducting research, and coordinating outreach programmes.

Simon Vaughan Johnson, CEO at HSBC Bank Malta and Chairperson of the HSBC Malta Foundation, said, “For many years, Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malta has fulfilled its important mission to collect and disseminate information on the rich cultural and historic heritage of Malta. Throughout this journey, HSBC Malta has been there, providing its support.”

Michael Lowell, CEO of Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti, said: “Our foundation has the ability to bring together the hidden treasures of Malta, stage them professionally in sumptuous surroundings, and make them accessible to the viewing public. We would like to thank the HSBC Malta Foundation for this latest donation but more importantly for their steadfast support of our work over the decades.”

An ongoing project organized by Fondazzjoni Partimonju Malti is REWIND, a short video series revisiting some of FPM’s major exhibitions throughout the years. Each episode contains interviews and discussions on the research, highlighting the various exhibits as well as offering insight into the setting-up of that particular exhibition. Also, through the recent creation of their podcast ‘Treasures from Malta’, listeners can get some personal insight into some of the major creative minds on the Maltese cultural scene. Furthermore, FPM are also currently working on a new and exciting exhibition which is scheduled for the Autumn of 2022.
