The sudden announcement that Carlo Ancelotti was leaving Everton to return to Real Madrid caught many unawares.
A much respected coach, the Italian was well liked by Everton fans but this move will have left them disappointed.
He is reported to have agreed a three-year contract with Real having previously lifted the Champions League crown with them in 2014.
Now the scramble is on to find his replacement, this will be their sixth in five years.
