UEFA starts disciplinary proceedings against Barcelona, Juventus and Real Madrid

UEFA has started disciplinary proceedings against Barcelona, Juventus and Real Madrid over their involvement in the so-called European Super League.

Twelve clubs had initially signed up to join the super league but nine withdrew following still opposition from players, fans and politicians.

These three have not made any such move.

Uefa said: “Following an investigation conducted by Uefa ethics and disciplinary inspectors in connection with the so-called ‘Super League’ project, disciplinary proceedings have been opened against Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus for a potential violation of Uefa’s legal framework.
