The Office of the President launches a publication on the Conference for National Unity

President of Malta George Vella launched a publication on the Conference for National Unity held on the 27th February 2021.

This publication is intended to gather and convey, in a detailed and factual manner, all the points raised during the discussion. This includes speeches from speakers on the panel, as well as the questions, comments and suggestions received from the members of the public present and online.

In this publication’s foreword, President Vella stated that the arguments put forward were serious, and that during the discussion all those present showed maturity, both in terms of content and in the way they communicated with each other. He added that the level of debate was high as the participants were prepared to listen and contribute. The President commended this attitude and explained that this should be the way in which we must continue to discuss and address this theme.

The Conference for National Unity was held on Saturday, 27th February 2021, at the initiative of the President of Malta. The main purpose of this conference was to discuss the theme of national unity, a theme that the President has been talking about since his swearing-in. Key speakers, all experts from various fields, were invited to this conference to stimulate discussion and share their thoughts and experiences on this topic. Those present, and those who were following online, were also given the opportunity to share their views.

The publication has just been published in print and is also available in digital format on the website of the President of Malta; https://president.gov.mt/national-unity-conference/.
