Police have arrested a 28-year-old man in connection with an armed robbery in Ta ‘Xbiex.
Following up on information received officers from the Rapid Intervention Unit Police and the Major Crimes Department apprehended the man in Ta’Xbiex.
The robbery happened between Wednesday night and the morning of Thursday when a man approached two women who were walking along the sea front and threatened them with a knife before fleeing.
After his arrest police searched his residence and found a number of items believed to have been stolen in the robbery.
