The second edition of the Aviation Malta publication to be launched

Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects Ian Borg has announced that the second edition of the Aviation Malta publication will be launched in the next few days, a publication that is published every year, which shows the advancements and the work being done by the government as well as Transport Malta through the Aviation Directorate.

This was announced in the Avion group simulator which, among many airlines, is used by Air Malta for its pilots in order to continue their training. This flight simulator is designed for the Airbus A320 aircraft, the most used aircraft in the world, and which has been open in our country since 2018.

Minister Ian Borg said that, “In this publication, we continue to show the commitment and vision of the government for this sector, which employs so many Maltese and Gozitans and above all generates substantial financial income to our country. We know how much our country’s name in this industry is one of high reputation and considered as one of the best in Europe compared to other countries, and we will continue to work hard to make our country one of the leaders in the aviation sector. It is important also to remind ourselves that even wages in this industry are, on average, twice the rest of wages in other sectors of the economy, and so I would like to encourage more persons, especially the youth, to specialise in this industry.”

This publication was made under the guidance of Transport Malta and will continue to show the success and growth of this industry in our country, which in the last three and a half years has seen great success both in quality and in quantity of aircrafts registered with the 9H register. The number of registered aircrafts has now reached more than 500, and further discussions are underway to attract even more large companies in the coming weeks and months.
