Minister Justyne Caruana discusses the promotion of educational services in Malta

The promotion of Malta’s educational sctor abroad was discussed this morning between Minister for Education Justyne Caruana and representatives of ChinaEU. During the virtual meeting, Minister Caruana delved into the wide range of possibilities and opportunities in our islands to attract potential Chinese students, and also spoke about the excellent services provided by our educational institutions.

Various possibilities were discussed by which Chinese students could be attracted to further their education studies in Malta, including summer schools, the extensive prospectuses offered by our institutions, and other sectors.

Minister Caruana and ChinaEU President Luigi Gambardella discussed various educational programmes in Malta and agreed that education is one of the leading sectors which contributes to the economic growth and serves as a vital link with industries in the country.

ChinaEU is a non-profit international association based in Brussels and set up as a forum to foster public-private partnerships, business cooperation, and joint investments in digitization processes and hi-tech fields by European and Chinese companies.

ChinaEU assists Chinese and EU businesses in identifying new partnerships and promoting their digital applications and innovative services in European markets. In the past, ChinaEU has dedicated substantial resources and mobilized relationships with its European and Chinese partners in favour of startups and scale-ups seeking business opportunities in the other market.
