The Malta Institute for Advanced and Higher Education (MFHEA) was officially launched by the Minister for Education Justyne Caruana.
The Authority is legislated by the revised Education Act which came into force on 1 January 2021 and works independently to ensure the highest standards of education and foster an increasingly competent community. The entity ensures that students of advanced and higher education receive the best quality education.
Minister Caruana said that as a government, as a country, we are committed to bringing growth to our nation and our people. “We are committed to providing equitable access to quality education. This is a point that I do not hesitate to emphasize, because from the beginning I took on this responsibility, I stated what I firmly believe in, that inclusive education and equity are a fundamental right of every child. We are not just providing access to institutions but through the services of the Malta Authority for Advanced and Higher Education we are nurturing a community where everyone feels valued and accepted ”. The minister added that, “At this particular time, we are all called to action for high quality education.”
