Rev. Raphael Warnock, a pastor in Atlanta, was elected on Tuesday to be the first black senator from Georgia, CNN projected early Wednesday morning.
The counting of votes is still ongoing in the tight decisive race between Republican David Perdue who is battling against Joe Ossoff from the Democrat party.
