Police seized €350,000 worth of drugs and arrested two men in a major drugs squad operation on Saturday.
The operation began when officers stopped a car in Melita Street in Paola and found drugs and cash. A search of a house in the same street uncovered cocaine and cannabis and around €175,000 in gold and cash. In the garage, police seized several high-end vehicles worth around €250,000.
Police also searched a garage in Marsa belonging to one of the suspects arrested in the car and uncovered around 3.5kg of cocaine with an estimated street value of €350,000.
The two men are expected to appear in court on Sunday.
