A program for the families of the prisoners as a result of an agreement with Mid-Dlam għall-Dawl

An agreement was signed to help the families of the prisoners between the Ministry of Interior, National Security and Law Enforcement and the From Dark to Light Foundation. The agreement is the first of its kind and will help prisoners and their families face the challenges of a prison sentence.

At a news conference announcing the project, Interior, National Security and Law Enforcement Minister Byron Camilleri explained that it is aimed at reducing the likelihood of a person committing a crime again. therefore to have fewer victims in society.

With an investment of half a million euros spread over three years, the agreement will lead to the recruitment of more professionals so that the prisoner and the family are given the support they need. These include therapy sessions, parenting education sessions, individual and specialist psychotherapy and group therapy.
