Government to continue to promote active aging

The Minister for the Elderly and Active Aging Michael Farrugia started the first meeting, from a series of meetings that will take place in the near future, together with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, during which it will be discussed how the Government intends to continue to promote active aging.

Together with the Permanent Secretary within the Ministry for the Elderly and Active Aging Matthew Vella and the Chief Executive of Active Aging Dr Renzo Degabriele, a meeting was held yesterday with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce.

During this meeting, the parties discussed what steps will be taken to improve the quality of life of the elderly, both in the near future and once the country emerges from the pandemic.

The way in which the elderly, both those living in their homes and those who continue to live in their homes, can live a more active life was also discussed.
