Triq Sant’Antnin will be opened in Ghajnsielem with an investment of € 2 million

The Prime Minister Robert Abela and the Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri inaugurated the reconstruction of Triq Sant’Antnin, in Ghajnsielem, with an investment of € 2 million.

This project on this arterial road that connects the Port of Mġarr with Qala and Għajnsielem was spread over an area of ​​800 meters. The work involved not only the remediation of the road surface but the reconstruction of this artery with work related to new services such as communication networks, new water services, sewage. and electricity and above all culverts for floods because a lot of rainwater passes through Għajnsielem, Nadur and Qala.

The project also involved the construction of new sidewalks and roadblocks, the construction of rubble walls and two layers of asphalt.

In a press conference, Prime Minister Robert Abela said that Gozo was, is and will remain a priority for this government. “I say this with a strong conviction because based on facts that are making a difference and that are being felt by Gozitan families, businesses and anyone who comes to visit this jewel island,” said Dr Abela.

The Prime Minister stated that the work on Gozitan roads is keeping pace with the great work being done in Malta where in recent years the field of infrastructure has been given a big boost. This work is being translated into large projects that are carried out on time and on budget. It is crucial that our country keeps these two elements together because they are a mirror of good management and planning.

Minister for Gozo, Clint Camilleri, said that, “With each passing day we are continuing to improve the infrastructure around the island of Gozo and as we have promised we are working tirelessly to stick to the deadline and complete the -projects in the shortest possible time and with the least inconvenience to residents’.
