Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri visited the cold stores in Xewkija, where the existing ice machine was being removed to replace it with a new and more efficient one.
The cold stores in Xewkija are used 24/7 by fishermen so that they can store their catch. Minister Camilleri said that, during the year 2020, an investment was made inside the cold stores in Xewkija where some of the equipment in this place has been changed, among them the ice storage system.
Minister Clint Camilleri went on to explain that other appliances used to cool cold rooms will also be modernized, as the current one has been used for a number of years and is about to be changed to a more energy efficient one.
