A man was arrested following an armed standoff in Pieta on Sunday night.
At around 8pm in Triq Bordin, Pieta’ the police were called in following reports that a man was damaging property and threatening residents.
Officers were confronted by a man wielding a knife and carrying a firearm.
The man retreated inside a house and eventually after a six-hour standoff was overcome and arrested.
The man has since been named as Serbian national Srdjan Stevanovic, aged 38.
