New Covid-19 measures announced

As of Thursday 29 October, all bars and clubs must remain closed. This measure will run until the first (1) of December 2020 until 6 am.

While snack bars and kiosks may remain open, however they may not, in any instance, supply, offer or sell any type of alcoholic beverage to customers and shall close between 11pm and 5am. the next morning.

Also on Thursday, the maximum number of people who can gather in a group in public spaces will be reduced from 10 people to 6 people.

This means that in public spaces, groups of more than 6 people are prohibited including in queues and at bus stops, unless the social distance of two meters between them is maintained. This measure does not apply to persons living in the same residence. The fine for non-compliance with this measure will be increased to two hundred Euros (€ 200), but if the penalty is paid before the proceedings before the Commissioner of Justice are initiated, the fine will be reduced to one hundred Euros ( € 100).

These measures are coming into force after consultation with the Superintendent of Public Health in order to further limit the progress of COVID-19.
