115 new doctors in the health service

One hundred and fifteen doctors who graduated from the University of Malta this year have started started working in the public health system.

Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Chris Fearne met with some of these new doctors at Mater Dei Hospital where he wished them success after years of study and sacrifice. He spoke of the importance of doctors continuing their studies and specializing in order to continue to offer the best service to patients.

“Our health system is among the best in Europe thanks to the enthusiasm of our professionals, and we should be proud of them,” the Deputy Prime Minister reiterated.

Since 2018, more than 350 new doctors have joined the public health service.
