€ 50,000 allocated in a pilot project for energy storage systems

The Minister for Energy and Water Management Michael Farrugia announced that from next Monday applications will open for the purchase of energy storage systems thanks to a scheme that was announced in budget and which will enter into force through a pilot project with an allocation of € 50,000.

This is a new scheme that will help the country advance its use of renewable energy in a sustainable way, as well as bring it closer to European environmental goals.

Minister Farrugia, during a press conference said that further progress is being made in the implementation of the government’s national policy in the energy sector so that the Government continues to ensure energy security, sustainability and affordability in Malta.
