The St. Mary’s Battery, in Comino, which is classified as Grade 1 and is protected by military architecture was inaugurated by Minister of Tourism Julia Farrugia Portelli following an extensive restoration costing€ 183,000 of which around € 150,000 are from European funds.
The battery was built by the Knights of St. John in 1715.
