The government has accused the Opposition of inventing stories and telling lies about the LNG gas tanker.
At the weekend PN executive President and maritime law expert Ann Fenech questioned why the tanker is still berthed offshore despite having arrived in Malta over a week ago.
The Nationalist Party even invented a story about problems with the tanker moorage.
In a statement the government said that the LNG tanker is currently undergoing a series of sea-trials before it returns to its mooring station.
