Hibernians outclass Valletta

Hibernians produced one of their best performances so far this season as they totally dominated a Valletta side that simply did not turn up.

A 2-0 win does little to reflect the way Hibs dominated the game, with missed chances their biggest fault.

If Hibs had been able to put away all the chances they created it could have been a complete embarassment for Valletta.

City were reduced to ten men mid-way through the first half when Uchenna was sent off after he brought down Telles just outside the area.

Goal-less at the break,  Hibs finally got the break-through they deserved when Soares sidefooted into the net.

A fine passing attack saw Degabriele double the score to put the game out of sight for a sluggish Valletta.

The win lifts Hibernians to second in the table.
