One dead in accident on world’s biggest cruise liner

One person has died and four others have been injured after a lifeboat became detached from the world’s biggest liner, Harmony of the Seas.

The cruise liner was docked in the French port of Marseille when the 42-year-old Filipino crewman was killed during a safety drill.

According to the deputy mayor of Marseille, two other members of crew are fighting for their lives in hospital.

All five crew members were taking part in a safety drill when the lifeboat slipped off its mounting and fell into the sea.
