The Department of Civil Protection warns residents of Paola, Fgura, Tarxien and St. Lucia to keep the windows of their residences closed for the time being until the fires that have engulfed the Wasteserv establishment are controlled.
The fumes at the Marsa fire are considered toxic. Civil Protection Department workers are working to put out the blaze as well as evacuating residents from nearby houses.
The public is asked to cooperate in this work.
