‘A Night at the Palace’ concert another success

Prime MInister Robert Abela and family at A Night at the Palace Concert

On Thursday evening, at the Girgenti Palace, the fourth edition of the ‘A Night at the Palace’ concert was successfully held, with the participation of the National Philharmonic Orchestra.

During the concert, donations were collected in aid of the ‘Strong Minds’ programme of Special Olympics Malta. The ‘Strong Minds’ programme offers learning that leads to the development of new skills so that athletes adapt to the different circumstances they encounter. With the donations, Special Olympics Malta will continue to strengthen this programme to be able to offer more initiatives, including mental health screening of athletes to have a more robust system that identifies risks at an early stage and refers those in need to professionals in the community.

Prime Minister Robert Abela, together with Dr Lydia Abela and their daughter Giorgia Mae, met with many families who attended this musical evening with a noble cause, and thanked them for their generosity towards the ‘Strong Minds’ programme which leaves such a good legacy.

During the concert, the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Aurelio Belli, together with singers Amber, Richard Edwards and Gloriana Arpa Belli, brought iconic musical works from renowned films and musicals to the audience.
