An investigation into alleged drug trafficking from a residence in Marsa led to the arrest of a 49-year-old man.
When police were approaching the suspect, he noticed them and tried to throw a packet under a vehicle. The man was immediately arrested and several sachets containing substances suspected to be cocaine and heroin were found in the packet. A search of the suspect yielded an amount of cash, while other items related to the investigation were seized from the residence.
The man is expected to be arraigned in Court shortly.
