An 80-year-old woman who lives in Għaxaq lost her life in Ħal Far after being run over by a coach late on Friday evening.
The elderly woman had just gotten off the coach and was heading to a wedding hall for a party organized by the MEP David Casa.
Civil Protection members and a medical team were called but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Several other people were treated for shock and taken to Mater Dei Hospital.
