A 37-year-old man was arrested after landing in Malta from Sicily with a van in which was hidden drugs with a street value of over €400,000 in cocaine and cannabis inside its’ axles.
The man, from Fgura, was arrested on Friday evening following police investigations.
Officers searched the van and found around seven kilos of suspected cocaine and 100 grams of suspected cannabis, hidden inside the axles of the van’s wheels.
The man is expected to appear in court in the coming days.
