A 30-year-old woman from Nepal was seriously injured in a fall from a balcony at a flat in Sliema on Monday.
Police received a report that a woman had fallen from a balcony and when they went to the apartment in Triq D’Argens, Tas-Sliema, the injured woman told them that she had tried to jump from the roof to the balcony because she was locked out of the flat.
The injured woman, who lives in Paola, was taken to Mater Dei Hosital where her injuries were described as serious.
The accident happened at 1pm today.
