Two men have been arrested in connection with a series of thefts from supermarkets following a tip-off.
On Wednesday afternoon police were informed that the men behind the thefts were at a supermarket that they had already stolen items from.
Officers entered the store and after watching the men put items in their pockets, stopped them and arrested them.
The two men, a 39-year-old Somali man who lives in Munxar, and a 32-year-old Eritrean man who lives in Gzira, were taken to the Floriana lockup.
