Real Madrid claimed a convincing 3–0 away victory against Valencia at the Mestalla on Saturday, 7 November, continuing their strong run of form in La Liga.

Two first-half goals put Madrid in command

Valencia threatened early, with Aaron Mayol testing goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois from outside the area. Real Madrid then broke the deadlock in the 28th minute when Federico Valverde struck following a rebound from a Kylian Mbappé free kick.

Eight minutes later, Arda Güler doubled the visitors’ advantage, finishing a move involving Jude Bellingham to send Madrid into half-time 2–0 ahead.

Mbappé adds a third as Gayà sees red

Valencia looked for a route back after the interval, but Courtois kept the hosts out. In the 75th minute, Mbappé finished a counterattack to make it 3–0. Valencia’s captain José Luis Gayà was shown a straight red card in the 79th minute for a foul on Mbappé, leaving the home side to finish with ten men.

The result marked Real Madrid’s eighth consecutive victory across all competitions and moved them level on 30 points with Barcelona at the top of La Liga at the final whistle, though Barcelona had played one fewer match.
