Birkirkara and Żabbar St Patrick shared the points in a 1–1 draw as their Bottom Six campaign began at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.

Amarildo Jr opened the scoring after 32 minutes, beating Patrick Mohorovic with a deflected effort from outside the penalty area. Żabbar threatened before the break, but a rebound finish from Milos Jovicic was ruled out for offside after Strahinja Jovancic’s header struck the post.

Francisco Lancioni levelled four minutes into the second half, meeting a delivery from substitute Shelom Magri. Clear chances became scarce, although Mohorovic later denied Franklin Sasere to protect Żabbar’s point.

Birkirkara moved to 16 points, with Żabbar one point behind. Neither side managed to turn a closely contested encounter into a winning start to this phase of the season.
