Martin Ødegaard scored the only goal as Arsenal defeated Hull 1–0 to extend their Premier League lead to six points.
The breakthrough arrived in the 72nd minute. Hull goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis could not hold Noni Madueke’s shot and Ødegaard converted the rebound, finally rewarding Arsenal’s pressure.

Mikel Arteta praised Madueke’s work and improving confidence as the winger continued to make an impact during Bukayo Saka’s injury absence. The manager highlighted the extra training Madueke had undertaken to improve his condition.
Arsenal recorded 21 attempts but had to settle for a narrow margin. Their seventh league clean sheet helped secure a ninth victory in ten matches and a fifth successive league win.
Arteta welcomed the run of results while stressing the need to turn more of the chances his side creates into goals.
