The Argentine Football Association says it plans to take its challenge against World Cup disciplinary sanctions to the Court of Arbitration for Sport after receiving FIFA’s appeal decisions.

In a statement dated 6 November, the AFA said FIFA’s appeals body had reduced Nahuel Molina’s suspension to four matches. However, it upheld Leandro Paredes’s suspension and fines imposed on the association relating to discriminatory chants.

The association said it would request the written grounds for the decisions before bringing a further appeal to CAS. It maintained that it had sufficient factual and legal arguments to pursue a review.

The statement concerns disciplinary proceedings arising from events at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. It announces the association’s intended next step, with no CAS outcome reported in the notice.
