Malta marked their 100th rugby international with a 37–29 win over Germany at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Saturday, 7 November, according to Times of Malta SportsDesk.
Phil Pretorius’s side established a 20–0 lead through tries from John Connolly and Rob Holloway, with Chris Dudman adding the conversions and two penalties. Germany scored before the break to leave Malta 20–7 ahead at half-time.
The visitors closed the gap to 20–17 after the restart, but tries from Brandon Dalton and George Strickland restored Malta’s advantage.
Germany fought back again to make it 34–29 as Malta finished with 14 players following Zarrin Galea’s yellow card. Connolly then kicked a late penalty to settle the contest.
