On Saturday, November 7, MEP Peter Agius, member of the European Parliament's Public Health Committee, will discuss diabetes with the public, politicians, and civil society at a national event.
The day of exchanges will be opened by the President of Malta Myriam Spiteri Debono, MEP Peter Agius and the President of the Maltese Association Against Diabetes Chris Delicata at 9.30.
At 10.00, a discussion with experts in physical and mental health will begin, focused on the experience of people living with diabetes, open to questions and participation from the public.
Followed at 11.00 by a political debate on the major challenges faced by people with diabetes and what can be done in Malta and at the European level. Moderated by Mark Lawrence Zammit.
The day continues with forums and other activities until 18.00.
