Minister Clint Camilleri meets again with European Commissioner Jessika Roswall while she visited conservation initiatives in our country
Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri welcomed the European Commissioner for the Environment, Jessika Roswall, to Buskett, where she had the opportunity to visit a project of the Federation of Hunters, Trappers and Conservationists (FKNK) focused on the conservation of the barbaġann species. This project also benefits from the support of the Maltese Government.
This is the second meeting between Minister Camilleri and Commissioner Roswall, following their meeting in Brussels a few months ago. This time, during her visit to Malta, the Commissioner had the opportunity to see up close various conservation initiatives being carried out in our country.
During her visit, Commissioner Jessika Roswall also witnessed the work being carried out by the FKNK, where President Lucas Micallef explained in detail the efforts being made. She also had the opportunity to see baby barbaġann that had hatched shortly before her visit.
The dialogue between the two sides will remain open with full respect towards Malta and the European Commission.
Minister Clint Camilleri stated that he is open to further dialogue with the European Commission, in particular with Commissioner Roswall, also on issues of a local nature. He added that communication between the two sides will remain open, with full respect towards the Maltese Government and the European Commission.
