FT. Hibernians 0-1 Hamrun Spartans
90 minutes up....4 mins extra time.. Gullimier big chance ..his shot, low and left, just grabbed by Branescu...close that....
Goal-scorer Mbong another chance to increase Hamrun's lead...aaah.. he shoots way over.....
Twenty minutes remaining but this game not over yet..Hibs working hard for an equaliser, have to be careful though,,,if they push too many players forward they leave themselves open to counter attack by Hamrun.
Hamrun want another goal...pushing forward...one attack after another...Camenzuli always a threat...half a chance on the left of the box..ball cleared....
GOAL. 57 mins. Joseph Mbong's looping header beats Branescu...Hibs 0-1 Hamrun
Second half:
HT: Hibernians 0-0 Hamrun Spartans
What a chance for Bulevardi in front of goal...shoots high and over from five yards...what a miss moments before the break.
Plenty for supporters to get excited about. Shaisen Attard should have done better in front of goal but Hibs defenders did their job...chance gone begging....
Both sides want the win. Finding the back of the net is the problem. They are probing, looking for an opening but neither side can find the crucial finish.
Big game as Hibenians aim to put Sunday's loss to Marsaxlokk behind them as they take on Hamrun Spartans at the Tony Bezzina Stadium tonight. Hamrun will have a point to prove as well after their goal-less draw against Zabbar St Patrick.
