The Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri launched the Springtime in Gozo 2026 programme, a varied programme spread over more than five weeks during springtime, between 10 April and 14 June. Minister Camilleri said that through this programme, it is being ensured that the most beautiful aspects of Gozo, during this favourite period for many, are enjoyed more.

Springtime in Gozo brings together residents and visitors in an authentic celebration. He continued by saying that “Gozo is no longer just a seasonal destination. Tourism success continues to be encouraging and strong, a fact that confirms the island’s all-year-round appeal, both for internal and external tourism. Gozo is a vibrant island where culture plays a prominent role in our tourism product, and spring is the time when this stands out most clearly.”

This year’s programme continues to build on previous ones, by combining faith, historical heritage, creativity and experiences for the whole family: from sacred music to theatre and opera, and from community fairs and fireworks to many other activities. Among the main events are RockAstra, Leone Goes Jubilee, Sqaqien, Resurrexit, Lux Tenebrae, the Nadur Fireworks Festival, the Gastronomy and Chocolate Festivals, Qalb il-Frawli, the Science in the Citadel event, wine celebrations such as Est! Est! Est! and Bis-Saħħa, as well as the Gozo International Flower Show, along with many other activities.

Minister Clint Camilleri concluded by encouraging the public to explore the villages, enjoy the local gastronomy, discover local artists and talents, and experience everything that makes Gozo unique during this time.
