The Minister for European Funds and the Implementation of the Electoral Programme, Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi, welcomed this milestone and expressed his pride in EUPA’s commitment. He noted that the Agency’s endorsement of the Charter reflects the Government’s ongoing efforts to promote equality, respect, and inclusion across public administration and EU-funded initiatives.

The Malta Diversity & Inclusion Charter, coordinated by CORE Platform, provides a national framework encouraging organisations to promote equal opportunities, foster inclusive practices, and embed diversity and inclusion principles within their organisational culture and operations. By becoming a signatory, EUPA formally commits to upholding these principles and contributing to the creation of a fair, respectful, and inclusive working environment.

As the National Agency for Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps, EUPA actively promotes inclusion and diversity as key horizontal priorities of these European programmes. The Agency supports initiatives that ensure equal access, participation, and opportunities for all individuals, particularly those facing social, economic, or other barriers, in line with the Programme’s objectives.

During the visit to EUPA’s headquarters in Ħamrun, the Minister also had the opportunity to meet with the Agency’s staff to discuss its ongoing work and how inclusion and diversity principles are being integrated into the programmes and projects it manages.

This commitment further strengthens EUPA’s role in promoting inclusive values, not only internally but also through the programmes it oversees, encouraging beneficiary organisations to design and implement projects that reflect diversity, accessibility, and social inclusion.

EUPA extended its sincere thanks to CORE Platform and the Malta Diversity & Inclusion Charter for their continued leadership in advancing diversity and inclusion in Malta. These initiatives play a vital role in helping organisations across all sectors translate inclusion principles into meaningful and sustainable action.
